After what we thought was an exhausting and hot day , we arrived in Chele, which was close to the river bottom. Leaves were out and fruit trees were blossoming. The next day was straight up a step mountain. Our guide was searching for a shortcut which would cut an hour off our trek. After scrambling up a hillside like mountain goats, we came to a landslide and had to give up our hard fought elevation and back track.
This is when we met up with Gesa and Jasch a German couple and their guide Keda. Now we were six including our guide and porter. We ended up travelling the rest of the trip together. We got along very well and our porter and guide were happy with the company. Many ups and downs and failed short cuts and we arrived in the town of Gheling.
